Shelter Bay Sanitary Sewer Pump Station Improvements

About the Project

The City of Mill Valley will be rebuilding and modernizing the existing Shelter Bay Sanitary Sewer Pump Station, which serves the Shelter Bay HOA and Sunrise Pointe HOA condominium developments along Highway 101 corridor.

The existing pump station is over 35 years old and project work will improve its reliability, operational safety, and meet current municipal pump station standards.  A $1.2 million contract was awarded to Pacific Infrastructure Company (PIC) in June 2020.  Construction is expected to be completed by February 2021.

Temporary construction fencing will be erected and several parking spaces will be reserved for the contractor’s equipment and work trucks. In addition, noise from construction equipment, concrete cutting saws, and trenching across the road should be expected. Water and sewer service will not be impacted during the course of this project. If you do experience a problem with either service, please contact your respective HOA maintenance representative.
