Pause holds if your "to-be-read" stack is getting out of control. You’ll continue to advance up the queue but the item won’t arrive on the hold shelf until you’re ready.

HOW DO TO IT

Tap My Borrowing and then On Hold to view all your holds. Cancel holds, pause holds, and add items to your For Later shelf. Remember to tap Resume Hold when you’re ready to receive the item.

Come across a book in the wild and want to see if your library has a copy? Scan the ISBN barcode on the back of the item and place a hold!

HOW TO DO IT

Tap the center button, Search, and then the barcode icon to the right of the search bar to access your phone's camera and scan the item.

Check books out from anywhere in the library - no need to wait in line at the circ desk or the self-check machines.

Tap the shopping cart icon in the top right corner. Point your camera at an item’s library barcode (the one on the front of the book) and tap Check out. Scan more books or tap Finish.

Forgot your library card? Not a problem! Just tap the card icon to access your virtual library card and scannable barcode.

This feature is great for families: see who’s got what checked out and when it's all due.

HOW TO DO IT

1. Tap the gear icon in the top right to access settings then tap Manage Cards and Add a card. You can type in a username or barcode or scan the physical library card.
2. Back on the home screen, tap the card icon at the top right. Swipe between cards, and tap Use this card to switch accounts.
